Job summary

Revolutional is seeking an experienced SME Systems Administrator to support DHS missions in a 24/7 enterprise IT environment from Lorton, VA. You will manage enterprise networks, servers, virtualization, and security configurations, collaborating on COOP site design and maintenance with government and vendor partners.

The role requires deep expertise in AD, DNS, DHCP, scripting, virtualization, and security standards, with on-call duties and occasional CONUS travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT, Engineering, or related field OR 5+ years equivalent experience.
• 10+ years enterprise IT systems or network administration experience.
• Proficiency in Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and GPO management.
• PowerShell or Bash scripting for automation and administration.
• VMware, Nutanix, and NetApp administration.
• Windows Server and Linux system management.
• Server/workstation patching and security remediation.
• Knowledge of DHS/FISMA security standards and ATO processes.
• Experience with Cisco/Dell network devices and Palo Alto firewalls.
• Excellent communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, administer, and maintain LAN/WAN infrastructure, servers, SANs, and network devices.
• Administer AD, DNS, DHCP, and GPO management; script for automation.
• Plan, deploy, and maintain COOP and DR capabilities with partners.
• Patch and update servers/workstations; ensure DHS/FISMA security baseline compliance.
• Troubleshoot security hardening requirements and remediation; support ATO process.
• Administer virtualization and storage platforms (VMware ESXi, Nutanix, NetApp).
• Support Palo Alto firewall deployment and rule migration; assist with VPN and network transitions.
• Configure Cisco/Dell switches; coordinate VPN tunnels and site connectivity.
• Maintain technical documentation and SOPs; coordinate with DHS/ Government leads.
