Job summary

nLogic is seeking a Senior Systems Administrator to support a mission-focused effort in the Cherry Point area. You will help maintain enterprise infrastructure, virtualization, cloud services, cybersecurity initiatives, and network operations within a defense and technology environment.

The role provides technical leadership for infrastructure operations, ensuring availability, security, and reliability of systems supporting critical mission requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM-related field with 6 years of relevant experience; or
• Master’s degree in a STEM-related field with 4 years; or
• PhD in a STEM-related field with 2 years; or
• Associate degree with 8 years; or
• High school diploma with 10 years of relevant experience.
• Experience planning, implementing, and managing complex server and network infrastructures.
• Experience designing system architecture and administering VMware, Linux, and cloud environments.
• Experience managing cybersecurity and system protection functions.
• Experience developing automation scripts and process improvements.
• Experience mentoring technical personnel.
• Experience supporting hardware, software, and application environments.
• Experience deploying and maintaining LANs and secure information systems.

Responsibilities

• Plan, implement, and manage complex server and network infrastructures.
• Design and administer enterprise system architecture; support VMware, Linux, and cloud environments.
• Manage system security functions including firewalls, backups, and protection measures.
• Develop automation scripts and operational efficiencies.
• Install, maintain, and support hardware, software, and application environments.
• Deploy and support secure LAN infrastructure.
• Ensure network connectivity and information system availability across environments.
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior personnel.
• Support troubleshooting, issue resolution, and continuous improvement efforts.
