Job summary

Rivet Operations Company LLC is seeking a Senior Systems Administrator to provide advanced IT support at Cherry Point, NC. You will plan, implement, and manage complex server and network infrastructures for unclassified and classified environments, ensuring uptime, security, and performance.

The role requires citizenship with ability to obtain a Secret clearance, and experience across virtualization, cloud, and information assurance standards, plus strong communication and mentoring skills.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain a Secret security clearance.
• 8+ years general experience with an associate's degree; 6+ with a bachelor's; 4+ with a master's.
• Specialized experience planning, implementing, and managing complex server and network infrastructures.

Responsibilities

• Manage workstation configurations, peripherals, and troubleshoot OS issues.
• Verify AIS compliance with IA standards and manage SharePoint sites for compliance.
• Design system architecture and administer VMware, Linux, and cloud environments.
• Manage security functions including firewalls and backups.
• Visit USMC sites to upgrade and support IT equipment; identify automation opportunities.
• Automate routine tasks with scripting and configuration management tools.
• Maintain system documentation and change records.
• Coordinate with network, security, and application teams for infrastructure changes.
• Monitor performance, availability, capacity, and perform backups and DR testing.
