Job summary

Maricopa County is seeking a Senior Systems Administrator to support tier two/three applications, including web servers, AD, and storage systems. You will work with server hardware and software, manage backups, and coordinate with network engineers during outages.

You will participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation, apply patches in monthly windows, and document procedures while aiming to ensure reliability, security, and smooth operations for the county's technology environment.

Qualifications

• Five years of experience administering, configuring, managing, installing, and troubleshooting VMware, PowerShell, AWS, Azure, Windows Server 2016/2019/2022, IIS Web Applications, Active Directory, and SAN systems.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or closely related field; a combination of education and job-related experience may substitute for the education requirement.

Responsibilities

• Installs, operates, maintains and administers Windows Server 2016/2019/2022 operating systems and related roles.
• Manages data center hardware including servers and storage systems; oversees backup and DR services.
• Administers AWS and Azure hosted environments including backup and DR.
• Configures IIS Web Server security and related components.
• Participates in on-call services and collaborates with vendors and internal teams.
