Job summary

iconectiv is seeking a Senior Systems Administrator in Bridgewater, NJ to lead enterprise system administration across VMware, Linux, Windows, Solaris, and Oracle environments. You will manage installation, configuration, backups, incident response, and on-call rotations to keep critical services reliable.

The role requires a bachelor’s in a technology field and at least 10 years of relevant experience, with strong AD/identity, scripting, and cross-team collaboration skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in technology related field (MIS, CS, Networking, EE, or ME or equivalent).
• Minimum of 10 years of relevant working experience.
• Demonstrated Solaris, VMware, Windows and Linux system administration expertise.
• Familiarity with federated services, single sign on solutions, and O365 hosted applications.
• Strong Active Directory experience, particularly integrating with IAM providers.
• Programming: Python scripting on Linux/Unix.
• Demonstrated experience with common server applications: VMware, Oracle, Windows.
• Proficiency with TCP/IP, UDP, TCAP, SNMP; networking knowledge is a plus.
• Excellent communication and collaboration with multiple teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide overall system administration maintenance and support for internal service platforms.
• Relevant Oracle, Dell and HP compute and storage hardware familiarity.
• Install – rack, stack, and cable new equipment hardware builds or equipment replacements in our data centers.
• Perform OS (VMware, Linux, Solaris, Windows) equipment installation and configurations for new builds and equipment replacements.
• Perform OS and application backups for systems.
• Trace data collection and log file analysis for network/app/middleware devices and troubleshoot issues.
• Incident management: triage, investigations, mitigation/remediation of tickets.
• Post-mortem/root cause analysis for service impacting issues; generate RCA reports.
• Create and test MOPs for system administration and operations tasks.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation; adhere to SOPs and protocols.
• On-site/off-hours data center support as needed and required.
