Job summary

Jobtailor in Arlington, Texas, seeks a senior IT Infrastructure Engineer to design, implement, and maintain core enterprise services across virtualization, cloud, identity, and collaboration platforms.

You will lead technical initiatives, optimize for high availability and disaster recovery, manage Active Directory and server/DB environments, and provide Tier-3 support in a 24x7 on-call rotation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a computer-related field.
• Minimum 5 years designing and operating enterprise IT infrastructure.
• Experience with Windows/Linux server environments and cloud services.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain core infrastructure services.
• Provide technical leadership across virtualization, AI, identity, cloud, and collaboration.
• Administer and monitor operating systems, applications, and services.
• Ensure SLAs with redundancy, high availability, and DR planning.
• Troubleshoot complex problems and design robust resolutions.
• Lead planning and support of computer systems, networks, and cloud platforms.
• Support business initiatives through system design and planning.
• Champion digital transformation including AI and hybrid cloud adoption.
• Manage IT projects with independent planning and reporting.
• Operate Help Desk ticketing for incident management and user interactions.
• Create and maintain runbooks, SOPs, and architecture diagrams.
• Maintain downtime and disaster recovery reports.
• Contribute to cross-training and growth opportunities for junior staff.
• Manage Active Directory, Group Policies, users, and computers.
• Provide Tier-3 escalation and coordinate emergency responses.
• Interface with end users and other departments to resolve IT issues.
• Participate in on-call rotation for production support and change management.
• Provide continuous monitoring of on-prem, remote, and cloud infrastructure.
