Job summary

Jobtailor in Suitland, MD seeks a senior cloud and infrastructure engineer to design, implement, and support secure, scalable enterprise cloud and hybrid networks across mission systems. You will translate requirements into concrete infrastructure, produce diagrams, configure and automate components, and guide teams through migration, testing, and operation while maintaining security, performance, and cost-effectiveness.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in CS/Engineering or related field (or equivalent experience).
12+ years of IT experience in cloud, infrastructure, or network engineering.
Senior-level experience designing, engineering, migrating, and supporting enterprise cloud and hybrid environments.
Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure, hybrid connectivity, and enterprise network architecture.
Experience with infrastructure as code and automation for deployment.
U.S. Citizenship Required and ability to obtain Public Trust clearance.

Responsibilities

Design, engineer, implement, and support secure, resilient enterprise cloud, network, and hybrid infrastructure solutions.
Develop and implement secure connectivity solutions spanning cloud and on-premises environments.
Translate requirements into implementable infrastructure and network solutions.
Produce architecture diagrams, routing/segmentation designs, interfaces, and monitoring requirements.
Provide senior-level hands-on engineering across the lifecycle: design, configuration, implementation, automation, migration, testing, deployment, operations.
