Job summary

Jobtailor seeks a senior Systems Administrator/Engineer to lead Windows and Linux server deployments, automation scripting, and ITIL-based incident resolution in a large enterprise environment.

You will supervise analysts and engineers, unify communications and identity, manage on-premises infrastructure (AD, DNS, VMware, firewalls), and coordinate third-party vendor services and invoicing to meet business needs. Office-based in Alabama.

Qualifications

• 12–15 years of experience with Windows and Linux-based OS configuration, automation, and management.
• 8–10 years of experience with automation scripting including PowerShell and other configuration as code tools.
• Minimum of 15 years of experience in Systems Administration/Engineering.
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology Management or related field, or equivalent education/experience.
• ITIL V4+ Foundation knowledge and operations.
• Large enterprise storage technologies experience and performance tuning.

Responsibilities

• Ensure DBT Infrastructure systems support business operations efficiently.
• Supervise analysts and engineers on platform development and support.
• Unify communications, messaging, and identity for seamless user experience.
• Provide escalation support to Service Desk per ITIL model.
• Manage team members and their responsibilities.
• Provide high-quality, responsive incident resolutions.
• Administer Windows and Linux server deployments.
• Manage on-premises infrastructure including AD, DNS, VMware, firewalls, and routing.
• Oversee identity management solutions from Azure or third parties.
• Review third-party product invoicing; ensure costs align with business expectations.
• Drive third-party SLA compliance to meet vendor contracts.
