Job summary

Astro Mechanica is seeking a systems professional to secure and maintain our backend ICT environment. You will manage Microsoft 365 GCC High, identity platforms, MDM tooling, and cross‑platform servers across on‑prem and cloud.

The role emphasizes automation, documentation, and collaboration with engineers and help desk. You will design secure networks, enforce CMMC 2.0 controls, and ensure ITAR/EAR compliance while leading migrations and tool rollouts.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a systems administrator or systems engineer
• Experience with Windows, macOS, and Linux administration
• Experience with identity platforms (Okta, Entra ID) and MDM (Intune, Jamf)
• Scripting and automation skills (PowerShell, Bash, Python)
• Strong documentation and collaboration across teams

Responsibilities

• Administer and secure Microsoft 365 GCC High tenant (Exchange, SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams, Entra ID)
• Manage identity and access with Okta including SSO, MFA, and lifecycle automation
• Design and maintain device policies in Intune and Jamf
• Design and manage network infrastructure (Ubiquiti, Cisco)
• Operate Windows, macOS, Linux servers on‑premises and in AWS GovCloud/Azure Government
• Implement CMMC 2.0 controls, SSP, POA&M, collect evidence for assessments
• Ensure ITAR/EAR compliance for controlled data
• Own backups, DR, logging, monitoring; work with SIEM to respond to incidents
• Automate routines with PowerShell, Bash or Python
• Lead migrations, tool rollouts; communicate with users
• Mentor help-desk staff; write and maintain runbooks and standards
• Write system documentation and configuration standards
