Job summary

Enercon Technologies in Gray, ME seeks a Systems Administrator to lead provisioning, installation, and maintenance of IT infrastructure. You will mentor staff, manage Tier 2 escalations, and oversee production system reliability across Windows servers, AD/AAD, Exchange, and virtualization.

The role emphasizes incident management, patching, backups, and vendor coordination to ensure service continuity in a multi-site environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 4+ years supporting MS Active Directory and/or MS Azure AD Premium.
• Experience with Exchange and Microsoft 365.
• Expert knowledge of Windows Server roles and features.
• Experience with enterprise storage and virtualization (VMware).
• Proficient with PowerShell and scripting.
• Experience with backup/recovery solutions (Veeam, Zerto).
• Strong networking knowledge (DNS, TCP/IP).
• Ability to build partnerships with partners and teams.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary Tier 2 escalation point for operations IT personnel.
• Support Microsoft platforms across multiple systems.
• Mentor junior staff on diagnosing and resolving production issues.
• Respond to server incidents, manage tickets, and perform daily maintenance.
• Assist IT Operations on user applications and end-user computing issues.
• Conduct regular system monitoring and verify backups and logs.
• Lead upgrades and coordinate with vendors for changes.
• Manage enterprise monitoring tools and patching processes.
• Configure systems to support capacity planning and performance tuning.
