Job summary

Motion Recruitment seeks an experienced Senior Systems Administrator / Microsoft Cloud Engineer to design, implement, and support enterprise infrastructure across hybrid cloud and on‑premises environments. The candidate will have deep expertise in Microsoft 365 GCC High, Microsoft Azure, virtualization, IAM, automation, and data center technologies.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in IT, CS, or equivalent experience.
Minimum 5 years administering Microsoft 365 environments (Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, Entra ID).
Strong experience with Microsoft 365 GCC High.
Azure administration and hybrid cloud experience.
Knowledge of Entra ID, AD, PowerShell, and 365 security features.
Experience with VMware vSphere and/or Hyper-V.
Experience with Veeam Backup & Replication.
Networking basics (DNS, VPNs, firewalls, routing, switching).
Experience migrating on-prem to cloud and hybrid infra deployments.
Strong troubleshooting, communication, and multitasking skills.
Willingness to travel up to 15% across locations.

Responsibilities

Manage and administer Microsoft 365 GCC High environment (Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, OneDrive, Intune).
Design and support hybrid infrastructure using on‑prem and cloud tech.
Implement identity and access management (Entra ID, AD, GPO, CA, Intune).
Manage Azure infra (VMs, VNets, Storage, App Services).
Implement security/compliance (Defender, DLP, Information Protection, Purview).
Operate virtualization platforms (VMware vSphere, Hyper‑V).
Administer data center tech (Cisco UCS, HPE Nimble, HPE SimpliVity).
Handle backup/DR with Veeam; maintain AD, DNS, DHCP.
Support SharePoint Online/Teams; manage SQL Server environments.
Monitor performance, plan DR/BCP, perform root‑cause analysis.
Collaborate with Cybersecurity and Compliance teams on security best practices.
