Job summary

The Phoenix Group Advisors is seeking a Senior Systems Administrator to maintain and optimize a Microsoft-based infrastructure in a demanding legal and financial technology environment. You will support end-user technology, manage identity and access, and ensure high availability across servers and endpoints.

With 10+ years in IT, you will handle active directory, Intune, and Exchange Online, packaging and deploying software, and collaborating with security teams on upgrades and migrations.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in Systems Administration or senior IT support within a professional services setting.
• Extensive hands-on experience with Microsoft Entra ID / Azure AD, Intune, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, and Exchange Online.
• Proven ability to package software, deploy applications, manage endpoints, and image/provision Windows environments.
• Strong Windows Server administration skills including patching, permissions, and virtualization ( VMware ).

Responsibilities

• Serve as a senior escalation point for complex workstation, system, and infrastructure issues, ensuring rapid resolution.
• Administer and configure Microsoft Entra ID / Azure AD, managing user accounts, permissions, groups, and access controls.
• Manage Microsoft Intune for device enrollment, configuration, packaging, deployment, and endpoint provisioning.
• Support Active Directory, Group Policy, and related identity management services with account creation and security policy enforcement.
• Administer and troubleshoot Microsoft 365 and Exchange Online, including mailboxes and permissions.
• Package, test, and deploy software applications across Windows environments with consistent lifecycle management.
• Oversee Windows Server administration, including patching, permissions, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
• Support virtualized environments (VMware) to ensure scalability and high availability.
• Perform ongoing operational monitoring and proactive endpoint/server management.
• Troubleshoot Windows OS, networking, authentication, and system performance issues.
• Collaborate with infrastructure and security teams on upgrades, migrations, and new deployments.
• Maintain documentation, procedures, and inventories for systems and configurations.
• Support legal tech platforms (iManage, Litera, Kofax, Adobe Acrobat).
• Utilize remote management tools such as NinjaOne for proactive oversight.
