Job summary

Pivotal Solutions is seeking a Systems Administrator to manage and optimize a hybrid Microsoft ecosystem in a fast-paced legal environment. You will administer on-premises and cloud services, with a focus on reliability, security, and compliance, supporting the firm’s migration to Azure with minimal disruption to daily operations.

The role requires 4–7 years of hands-on experience with Windows Server, Exchange (on-premises/hybrid), Office 365/M365, Azure, and virtualization.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in IT/CS or related field (or equivalent experience).
4–7 years of progressive systems administration in a Microsoft environment.
Experience migrating on-premises workloads to Azure preferred.
Law firm or professional services experience is a bonus.

Responsibilities

Administer and support Microsoft Windows Servers, AD, Exchange on-premises and hybrid.
Manage Office 365/M365, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive with data governance and legal hold.
Lead migration of on-prem workloads to Azure and manage resources (VMs, networking, Entra ID).
Oversee virtual environments (Hyper‑V/VMware) for high availability and DR.
Maintain networking fundamentals and patching, security best practices.
Provide Tier 2/3 support, after-hours when needed, with strong customer service.
Document configurations, support audit readiness, and regulatory compliance.
Contribute to infrastructure projects and cloud optimization efforts.
