Job summary

Charles IT seeks a Sr. Systems Administrator to design, implement, and support cloud infrastructure while delivering expert-level end-user support.

You will manage Microsoft tech stacks, including Windows Server, Office 365/Exchange, SQL, and SharePoint, and maintain virtual environments with VMware/Hyper‑V and backup/disaster recovery. Strong communication and multitasking are essential, with a commitment to client success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in IT or related field.
• 7+ years IT experience preferred.
• MCSE 2012/2016 or VCP 6/6.5 certification preferred.
• Experience with Cisco Meraki, Datto, VMware, Office 365, and Mac OS is a plus.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and support cloud infrastructure.
• Provide expert-level support and troubleshoot end-user issues.
• Support Microsoft technologies: Windows Server, Office 365/Exchange, SQL, SharePoint.
• Support virtual environments including VMware and Hyper‑V.
• Manage backup and disaster recovery solutions.
• Configure and support network devices (WAN/LAN, routers, firewalls, security).
• Communicate ticket progress and outages clearly to customers.
• Maintain client system documentation and time/expense entries in ConnectWise.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Due to continuedgrowth,we are currentlyseekingto add a Sr. Systems Administrator. In this role, youwill provide expert-level support, lead complex technical projects, andbe responsible for:

Responsibilities

Design,implement, and support cloud infrastructure

Provide support and troubleshooting to resolve technical issues for end users

SupportofMicrosoft-related technologies: Windows Server, Office 365/Exchange, SQL,SharePoint, etc.

Support of virtual environments, including VMware and Hyper‑V

Support backup and disaster recovery solutions

Configure, install, and support various network devices and services, including WAN and LANconnectivity, routers, firewalls, & security

Liaise with third‑party vendors and other IT personnel for problem‑resolution

Effectively communicate with customers on ticket progress, impending changes, or agreed‑upon outages, etc.

Maintain strong client system documentation, including system reviews and recommendations

Maintain daily documentation by entering time, expenses, and all work as service tickets inConnectWise

Other duties as assigned

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in the IT field

MCSE 2012/2016 or VCP 6/6.5 certification (preferred).

7+ years of experience in IT (preferred).

Experience with Cisco, Meraki, Datto, VMware, Office 365, and Mac OS (a plus).

AWS or Azure experience (a plus).

Strong communicationskills with the ability to collaborate in a team environment.

High attention to detail and organization, with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
