Job summary

Charles IT is seeking a Senior Systems Administrator to provide expert-level support, lead complex projects, and manage cloud infrastructure in a dynamic IT environment. The role emphasizes Windows Server, Office 365/Exchange, VMware/Hyper-V, SQL, SharePoint, and network services.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor’s in IT with MCSE/VCP certifications and 7+ years in IT. Strong communication and documentation skills are essential, with a focus on growth and client satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in IT.
• MCSE 2012/2016 or VCP 6/6.5 is preferred.
• 7+ years of IT experience preferred.
• Experience with Cisco, Meraki, Datto, VMware, Office 365, and Mac OS is a plus.
• AWS or Azure experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and support cloud infrastructure.
• Provide end-user support and troubleshooting.
• Support Microsoft technologies: Windows Server, Office 365/Exchange, SQL, SharePoint.
• Support virtual environments: VMware and Hyper-V.
• Configure, install, and support network devices and services (WAN/LAN, routers, firewalls, security).
• Liaise with third-party vendors for problem-resolution.
• Maintain client system documentation and time/expenses via ConnectWise.

Due to continuedgrowth,we are currentlyseekingto add a Sr. Systems Administrator. In this role, youwill provide expert-level support, lead complex technical projects, andbe responsible for:

Responsibilities

• Design,implement, and support cloud infrastructure
• Provide support and troubleshooting to resolve technical issues for end users
• SupportofMicrosoft-related technologies: Windows Server, Office 365/Exchange, SQL,SharePoint, etc.
• Support of virtual environments, including VMware and Hyper-V
• Support backup and disaster recovery solutions
• Configure, install, and support various network devices and services, including WAN and LANconnectivity, routers, firewalls, & security
• Liaise with third-party vendors and other IT personnel for problem-resolution
• Effectively communicate with customers on ticket progress, impending changes, or agreed-upon outages, etc.
• Maintain strong client system documentation, including system reviews and recommendations
• Maintain daily documentation by entering time, expenses, and all work as service tickets inConnectWise
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in the IT field
• MCSE 2012/2016 or VCP 6/6.5 certification (preferred).
• 7+ years of experience in IT (preferred).
• Experience with Cisco, Meraki, Datto, VMware, Office 365, and Mac OS (a plus).
• AWS or Azure experience (a plus).
• Strong communicationskills with the ability to collaborate in a team environment.
• High attention to detail and organization, with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
• Enthusiasm for contributing to the success of a growing company and client base.
