We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Systems Administrator to ensure the reliable operation, security, and optimization of enterprise computer systems and network infrastructure. This position requires advanced hands-on technical expertise across a broad range of hardware and software systems. The Senior Systems Administrator will support the planning, deployment, configuration, and ongoing maintenance of IT systems, while also providing leadership and mentoring to junior administrators.

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Systems Administrator to ensure the reliable operation, security, and optimization of enterprise computer systems and network infrastructure. This position requires advanced hands-on technical expertise across a broad range of hardware and software systems. The Senior Systems Administrator will support the planning, deployment, configuration, and ongoing maintenance of IT systems, while also providing leadership and mentoring to junior administrators.

Core Responsibilities & Duties
- Ensure the availability, integrity, and performance of in-house systems and network connections across multiple locations.
- Plan, install, configure, and maintain server hardware, operating systems, applications, and network software.
- Provide remote and on-site support for server and application maintenance, upgrades, and new deployments.
- Analyze and resolve complex end-user software, system, and connectivity issues.
- Perform capacity planning and system performance analysis to support system optimization and growth.
- Recommend and implement system configuration changes, upgrades, and improvements.
- Develop and maintain system administrator procedures and training programs; conduct training and skills assessments.
- Use automated tools and scripting to improve efficiency and reduce administrative overhead.
- Provide user training and guidance for system-related tools and services.
- Apply knowledge of application networking, including load balancing and fault tolerance design.
- Lead and mentor junior system administrators, coordinating daily tasks and operational support.
- Perform vulnerability management in compliance with security standards and policies.
- Align IT system design and direction with the organization’s strategic business goals.
- Perform other duties, as assigned.
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
Education
Bachelor’s degree in a related field
Experience
- A minimum of ten (10) years of specialized experience in information processing, with progressive responsibility across various hardware and software solutions.
- At least four (4) years of direct, hands-on experience installing, configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting software systems.
- Demonstrated expertise in managing enterprise-level systems and supporting mission-critical environments.
- Experience with Surcharge
Security Clearance Requirement
Top Secret Clearance
Must possess a favorable Tier 5 (T5)/SSBI investigation
Other Required Skills And Abilities
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to lead teams in a dynamic environment.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
- Must be able to effectively communicate with customer and fulfill all duties and responsibilities as listed in the contract.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office suite including, but not limited to: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
