Job Overview:
As a Lead Hosting Engineer, you will provide daily System and Network Administrator operational activities as a part of the Huron Customer Success team. The position requires daily review, analysis, decision making, and reporting on server and network operations as well as client communication and planning for new deployments, updates, configuration changes, and technology improvements.
You will be responsible for leading discussions around development of methodology & work product innovations, and expected to effectively communicate project status including achievements, risks, and roadblocks to all levels. The role requires someone who can anticipate and adapt to changing technologies and quickly escalate technical risks to technical solution leads and/or project managers.
In addition, your day to day could include the following: assisting with researching, analyzing, and resolving client reported issues; continually improving internal hosting processes through development of new processes, tools and job aids; and assisting with 24/7 on-call hosting coverage as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Required :
Must be a U.S. citizen and reside within the United States
Four-year technical degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or Information Systems or equivalent professional experience
5-7 years’ experience in a data center, hosting services, or similar position
Ability to install, configure, and administer Microsoft software, including Windows Server, and SQL Server
Understanding of Domains, Virtualization, Firewalls, Routing, Ports, Domain Name Systems (DNS), Simple Mail Transport Protocol (SMTP) Gateways, and Monitoring tools (e.g., Metron)
Ability to interpret various logs, such as Internet Information Services / Server (IIS), Simple Mail Transport Protocol (SMTP), and Event Logs
Ability to manage and execute targeted projects independently and keep key stakeholders informed of progress, risks and barriers
Assist with 24/7 on-call support coverage
Willingness to perform occasional weekend work (typically once per month), with flexibility to adjust hours in subsequent weeks
Strong communication and documentation skills
Preferred:
Experience with scripting, PowerShell, and other tool automation skills are a plus
Experience managing infrastructure in an AWS data center environment
Passion for automation and optimization of tools and processes.
The estimated base salary for this job is $95,000 - $130,000. The range represents a good faith estimate of the range that Huron reasonably expects to pay for this job at the time of the job posting. The actual salary paid to an individual will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to specific skills or certifications, years of experience, market changes, and required travel. This job is also eligible to participate in Huron’s annual incentive compensation program, which reflects Huron’s pay for performance philosophy. Inclusive of annual incentive compensation opportunity, the total estimated compensation range for this job is $106,400 - $153,400. The job is also eligible to participate in Huron’s benefit plans which include medical, dental and vision coverage and other wellness programs. The salary range information provided is in accordance with applicable state and local laws regarding salary transparency that are currently in effect and may be implemented in the future.
