Rice Lake Weighing Systems is seeking a Senior Systems & Classical Computer Vision Engineer to join our Charlestown, MA team. You will own and optimize embedded and desktop software on Linux, and advance classical 3D vision solutions involving point clouds and depth sensors.

The role blends hardware orchestration with software heuristics, requiring cross-functional collaboration with field technicians, QA, and product management to deliver robust, field-ready systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or advanced degree in CS/CE/Robotics/EE or related field.
• Strong foundation in linear algebra and spatial geometry.
• Versatile problem-solver moving between software and hardware layers.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, debug, and optimize embedded and desktop Linux software.
• Design and maintain classical computer vision, 3D point cloud processing, and image processing algorithms.
• Develop communication layers for peripherals like weight scales, RFID readers, and depth sensors.
• Implement and refine state machines and timing for hardware synchronization.
• Create diagnostic tools for algorithm testing, image quality evaluation, and field-data validation.
• Collaborate with field technicians, QA, and management on product roadmaps.
