Job summary

Teradyne in North Reading, MA, is seeking a Senior Perception Software Engineer to design and extend software for a large test system, collaborating with engineers worldwide. The role focuses on developing operating software for capital equipment and factory information systems, with a requirement to work on-site and occasional travel.

The position demands extensive experience in C# .NET on Windows, distributed and multi-threaded software, object-oriented design, and machine vision.

Qualifications

Minimum 10 years of software development experience
Solid experience developing distributed and multi-threaded applications
Solid understanding of object-oriented design
Ability to work with AI-based code generators
Experience in Machine vision is a must
Knowledge of geometrical optics and lens selection
Knowledge of computer vision and image processing
Experience with commercial vision software products is a plus
Knowledge of linear algebra is a plus
Background in semiconductors or test equipment is a plus
Experience with WPF, capital equipment, factory integration, TCP/IP, database programming a plus

Responsibilities

Design and extend software for a large test system with multiple software levels
Design operating software for capital equipment, factory information systems and application software
Collaborate with engineers across disciplines to diagnose and solve complex system problems
Collaborate with a global design team, primarily on-site in North Reading, MA
Travel moderately within the US and to Southeast Asia
