Job summary

Supermicro is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to provide software-level support, automation, deployment, and troubleshooting for strategic customers, including on-site support when required.

You will work with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth server and data center deployments, drive root cause analysis for software and system issues, and deliver high-quality technical solutions. Travel to customer sites may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, CS, EE, Information Systems, or related field.
• 6+ years in software engineering, deployments, automation, or technical support (data center/server exp).
• Experience in data center operations, server deployment, and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Perform system-level software validation, deployment, and testing for strategic customers, including automation scripting.
• Provide technical support by root-cause analysis and coordinating resolutions.
• Support on-site deployment and validation at customer data centers; travel as needed.
• Lead or participate in failure analysis and prepare 8D reports with root causes and corrective actions.
• Create test plans, deployment procedures, automation scripts, and status dashboards.
• Participate in customer and internal issue review meetings with technical updates.
• Support global team collaboration across time zones for high-priority projects.
• Enforce software and system quality standards and identify deployment optimizations.
