Job summary
Supermicro in San Jose, CA, is seeking a Staff System Engineer to join our Engineering team. You will support, test, and validate server/storage system level products, configure deployments, troubleshoot performance, and help drive reliability across data center solutions.
The role emphasizes automation of the software lifecycle, building CI/CD pipelines, and collaboration with product managers, sales engineers, and customers to deliver scalable, high-performance systems.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in EE or CE with strong server product experience.
- 8+ years in system engineering, preferably on server/storage products.
- Deep knowledge of CI/CD, cloud platforms, scripting, and monitoring.
- Willing to travel internationally/domestically.
Responsibilities
- Define and develop enterprise benchmarks for server/storage systems.
- Execute benchmark tests and build proofs of concept.
- Collaborate with product managers to draft technical marketing materials.
- Automate development and deployment pipelines and CI/CD.
- Provide networking knowledge to customers and cross-functional teams.
