Chipton-Ross is seeking a System Safety Engineer 3 for a contract opportunity in Dulles, VA. A Bachelor's Degree in a STEM field with at least 5 years of system safety experience and an active Top-Secret clearance are required.
The role applies MIL-STD-882E to analyze hazards and drive safety into design, producing SSPP, PHA, FHA, SHA/SSHA, FTA, SAR, HAZMAT, and MSPSP. You will coordinate with Cross-IPTs, review launch safety packages, and support range safety documentation, all while operating
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in STEM field; 5+ years of system safety experience.
- Active Top-Secret Clearance required at time of application.
- Experience with MIL-STD-882E to analyze, mitigate hazards in system design and procedures.
- Experience developing, reviewing, and approving safety artifacts such as SSPP, PHA, FHA, SHA/SSHA, FTA, SAR, MSPSP.
Responsabilités
- Define, implement, and verify System Safety requirements to mitigate risks.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate hazards present in spacecraft.
- Prepare safety artifacts (SSPP, PHA, FHA, SHA/SSHA, FTA, SAR, MSPSP) per customer requirements.
- Coordinate with Cross-IPTs to support hazard and safety requirement adjudication.
- Assist in preparation and acceptance of launch range safety documentation.
