Job summary

Infotree Global Solutions seeks a Senior System Safety Engineer to evaluate customer requirements for system safety, develop safety architectures for vehicle systems, and conduct hazard analyses. The role involves MBSE-based safety with a V-model, and collaboration with HW/SW engineers to identify hazards and mitigations.

Qualifications include a 10+ year track record, familiarity with MIL-STD-882E, ISO 26262, ARP-4761A, and requirement-management tools (JIRA/Confluence/DOORS).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a System Safety-related discipline.
• 10+ years of applicable experience; advanced degree may reduce years.
• Experience in safety hazards analysis, safety concepts, safety cases, and hazard mitigation strategies.
• Experience in safety requirements traceability and test cases for safety-critical items.
• Familiarity with MIL-STD-882E, JOINT SOFTWARE SYSTEMS SAFETY ENGINEERING HANDBOOK, ISO 26262, or ARP-4761A.
• MBSE-based safety requirements using V-model with Cameo or similar tools.
• Team Center, JIRA, Confluence, DOORS or equivalent requirement management tools.
• Ability to work with HW and SW engineers to identify safety hazards and mitigations.
• Eligibility to obtain a US security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate customer requirements for System Safety and determine vehicle compliance.
• Create and support the design of system and software architectures.
• Conduct System Safety analyses to support design changes.
• Document analysis reports.
• Support System Engineering in developing the System Specification Document.
• Manage safety requirements definition, connectivity, and traceability.
• Create Hazard Tracking System and Preliminary/Functional Hazard Analysis as required.
• Ensure compliance with contract and System Specification Document.
• Develop safety CDRLs for submission to the Customer.
