Odyssey Systems Consulting Group, Ltd. is seeking a Senior System Safety Engineer to support the Attack Systems Division at Wright Patterson AFB, OH. The role focuses on system safety management, airworthiness considerations, and risk assessment across DoD weapon systems.

The ideal candidate holds a Master’s or Doctorate in a related field (or a Bachelor with extensive DoD experience), is a U.S. citizen, and can obtain/maintain a Secret clearance to ensure compliance with government programs.

Qualifications

• Master's or Doctorate in a related field with 10 years of experience (5 in DoD).
• Bachelor's in a related field with 12 years of experience (5 in DoD).
• U.S. citizenship and Secret clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Apply engineering principles to improve safety of joint service weapon systems.
• Support life cycle requirements, subsystems, and equipment in acquisition programs.
• Apply Airworthiness Certification Criteria to aircraft systems and subsystems.
• Develop system concepts and perform trade-off assessments for designs/modifications.
• Provide safety analyses, risk assessments, and review safety documents.
