Job summary

Odyssey is seeking a Senior System Safety Engineer at Wright Patterson AFB, OH to support the Attack Systems Division, FMS. Responsibilities include hazard analysis, airworthiness certification, and safety documentation across the weapon system life cycle.

The role requires advanced degree with DoD experience and strong ability to translate user needs into system-level requirements, ensuring safety across subsystems and production. Onsite at WPAFB.

Qualifications

• translates user needs into system-level requirements
• conducts hazard analyses and hazard tracking
• produces formal safety documentation (SARs, PESHE, TA/CP)

Responsibilities

• Apply engineering principles to improve weapon system safety and performance
• Support life cycle requirements, subsystems, and equipment
• Develop safety analyses and risk assessments for programs
• Prepare and review safety plans, reports, and briefings
• Coordinate with IPTs to meet safety policy and objectives
