Qualifications

• Advanced degree with DoD experience requirement.
• BA/BS with DoD experience requirement.
• 20 years of related experience with relevant certifications.
• U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain DoD clearance.

Responsibilities

• Perform system safety engineering tasks and risk assessments.
• Develop and review hazard analyses per MIL-STD-882, AFI 91-202, and AFMC supplements.
• Maintain hazard tracking logs and close out hazards in aircraft modifications.
• Organize and chair system safety group meetings with AF chief engineer and prime contractor rep.
• Participate in mishap investigations and report findings to the Air Force Safety Center.
• Attend system safety working group meetings to address safety issues.
• Support deviations, waivers, and CCB meetings for safety of aircraft systems.
• Evaluate ECPs, CCPs, TO modifications, and OSS&E related to hazard analyses.

Education

Advanced degree (MA/MS) with 12 years experience, 5 in DoD

BA/BS degree with 15 years experience, 5 in DoD

20 years directly related experience with proper certifications (DoD)

U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain DoD clearance
