Job summary

PJM Interconnection, LLC in Audubon, PA seeks a Lead System Operator Trainer to develop curricula, content and online training for PJM system operators. The role will deliver programs based on changing market rules and system requirements, with training conducted at control centers or remotely and roughly 25% travel.

You will work with the Director and Dispatch leadership to design courses, assess effectiveness, and keep training materials and simulators up to date.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Electrical)
• 5+ years experience in Systems Operations
• Strong verbal and written communications skills
• Ability to deliver and facilitate training; develop lesson plans
• Experience with PJM Operations, markets and planning functions (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Develops Training curricula and content supporting NERC Standards and PJM system operators.
• Develops benchmarks and measures the effectiveness of training processes.
• Plan training procedures and coordinate scheduling using the Systematic Approach to Training.
• Maintain relationships with Dispatch leadership to align training with operational needs.
• Design and conduct position-specific educational programs for Dispatch personnel.
• Develop, test, and maintain Operator Training Simulator materials and scenarios.
• Provide classroom instruction and update materials to reflect current technology and methods.
• Lead training programs for markets, operations, and business rules, including asynchronous delivery.
