Job summary

J&T Business Consulting seeks a System Engineer to provide operation support, testing, and sustainment for an enterprise web-based mission application in Fort Meade, MD. You will collaborate with DevOps, software, and operations teams to monitor telemetry and ensure high availability from laptops to cloud deployments.

The role requires active TS/SCI with Polygraph, a technical bachelor's degree (or substantial equivalent experience), and hands-on Linux, CI/CD, and monitoring expertise.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline with 10+ years of systems engineering experience, or 14 years of relevant experience without a degree.
• Strong Linux administration in enterprise environments (RHEL 8/9, Rocky Linux 8/9).
• Experience with GitLab CI/CD pipelines and modern DevOps practices.

Responsibilities

• Support DevOps and software teams in testing, diagnosing, and troubleshooting web components.
• Formulate test plans and identify testing requirements with operations and development.
• Log defects and monitor application health with Grafana and Kibana.
• Perform installations, configurations, and upgrades across virtual and cloud environments.
• Handle customer requests via Jira Service Desk and assist end users.
