Akina, Inc. in Annapolis Junction, MD is seeking a System Engineer to support a DoD-grade system across multiple locations. The role involves managing requirements, drafting key system documentation, and ensuring alignment with DoDAF/SOA architectures.

The position requires a TS/SCI clearance with polygraph, seven years of SE experience, and a relevant degree. Salary ranges from $181k to $222k annually, with full benefits and institutional support.

Qualifications

• Seven (7) years' experience as a SE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type and complexity is required.
• Bachelor's degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
• Five (5) years of additional SE experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.

Responsabilités

• Manage system requirements and derived requirements to ensure production systems align with defined architectures (DoDAF, SOA).
• Develop sections of systems engineering documentation (System Engineering Plans, Initial Capabilities Documents, Requirements Specifications, Interface Control Documents).
• Develop system requirements, functional requirements, and allocate them to hardware, software, facilities, and personnel components.
• Coordinate resolution of action items from CCB meetings, design reviews, program reviews, and test reviews requiring cross-discipline coordination.
• Participate in an Integrated Product Team to design new capabilities considering development and operational factors.
• Allocate real-time budgets and error budgets to systems and subsystems.
• Generate alternative system concepts and designs; define verification criteria for requirements.
