Job summary

Zel Technologies is seeking a System Engineer to design, implement, secure, and maintain the city’s enterprise infrastructure. You will ensure reliability, performance, and scalability for critical municipal operations and public-service delivery.

Collaborate with IT teams, vendors, and city departments to support modernization, cloud adoption, and long-term technology planning, while upholding security and resilience standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, CS, Engineering or 6+ years applicable experience.
• 3–5+ years in system engineering or enterprise IT operations.
• Proficiency with Windows and/or Linux servers and virtualization.
• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS) and hybrid infrastructure.
• Strong networking, security, and system integration knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain enterprise systems, servers, storage, and virtualization environments.
• Manage performance, capacity planning, and lifecycle management for high availability.
• Configure Windows/Linux servers, cloud services, and hybrid components.
• Maintain monitoring, alerting, and performance optimization tools.
• Integrate systems with applications and databases; troubleshoot complex issues.
