Job summary

Verathon is seeking a System Engineer to design, implement, and support its hybrid infrastructure, including Microsoft 365, Azure, and enterprise systems. The role emphasizes secure, automated operations and collaboration with cross‑functional teams to deliver robust IT services.

The successful candidate will have 5–7 years in systems administration, strong Windows/Linux expertise, and experience with Azure, Entra ID, and automation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent experience/certifications.
• Five to seven years of progressively responsible systems administration experience.
• Experience administering Azure, Microsoft 365, Entra ID, SharePoint Online, Intune, Active Directory, and hybrid identity environments.
• Strong knowledge of Windows Server and Linux administration, virtualization, storage, backup, DR/BC.
• Proficiency with PowerShell, scripting, REST APIs, IaC, and automation.
• Strong networking fundamentals (DNS, DHCP, VLANs, routing, VPNs, firewalls).

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and support enterprise infrastructure across on-premises and Azure environments per established architecture.
• Administer Microsoft 365 services including SharePoint Online, Entra ID, Intune, Teams, OneDrive, Exchange Online.
• Manage identity and access services (RBAC, PIM, managed identities, conditional access).
• Build, administer, and support Windows Server and Linux servers, virtualization, storage, backup, DR and BC.
• Develop infrastructure automation using PowerShell, Microsoft Graph, IaC, and Azure native tools.
• Maintain security practices: vulnerability management, Defender, Purview, patching, governance, least privilege.
• Monitor health, performance, and capacity; propose optimization and modernization.
• Evaluate emerging tech and prepare technical recommendations for leadership.
