Job summary

Sunbytes is hiring a remote Systems Engineer to design, implement, operate, and continually improve hybrid-cloud and datacenter core services. You will work with global IT, security, and application teams to drive reliability and efficiency across Azure, Windows Server, Linux, and related platforms.

The ideal candidate has 6+ years in hybrid-cloud environments, strong hands-on Azure skills, virtualization experience, and proficiency with automation tools such as Terraform, PowerShell, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong English communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.
• Certifications in cloud, datacenter technologies, or ITIL are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain the client’s global hybrid-cloud infrastructure
• Participate in design, installation, configuration, patching, and system updates
• Oversee daily activities of contractors and managed service providers, including 24/7 system monitoring and change management
• Support incident response, troubleshooting, and infrastructure upgrades
• Plan, deploy, and administer core services and hybrid-cloud platforms (Azure, Active Directory, Linux, etc.)
• Supervise and delegate operations tasks, including system monitoring and problem resolution
• Collaborate with internal IT teams and vendors to support system objectives
• Ensure architecture standards and infrastructure strategy align with global IT initiatives
