Amazon Lab126 in Sunnyvale is seeking a System Architect to define and drive the system architecture for Echo, FireTV, and future concepts. You will lead edge-cloud compute partitioning, SoC choices, and compute architectures, documenting decisions to guide engineering teams.

This role requires deep silicon experience and close collaboration across hardware, software, ML, and product design teams. You will stay engaged from concept through prototype to production, shaping roadmaps for next‑gen

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related fields.
• 5+ years of industry experience or PhD in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related fields.
• Background or education in SoC/Silicon engineering, computer architecture, machine learning or embedded software.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Define the system architecture for consumer products such as Echo and FireTV.
• Lead technical decisions on edge-cloud compute partition, SoC selection, and compute architecture.
• Document architecture decisions to guide engineering teams.
• Track market trends and define roadmaps for next-gen compute IP and silicon platforms.
• Serve as technical lead throughout the development lifecycle from concept to production.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to document architecture specifications.
• Influence silicon suppliers and drive technology roadmaps.
