Job summary

Shield AI is seeking an experienced System Architect to own the architecture of Hivemind Forge—an AI development ecosystem enabling developers to train, tune, evaluate, and deploy autonomous solutions. You will align MBSE-based architecture across software, AI/ML, and data, ensuring security and reproducibility across cloud, HPC, and air‑gapped environments.

You will define interfaces, APIs, SDK concepts, data schemas, provenance, and lifecycle management while guiding teams to accelerate

Qualifications

• 10+ years in software or software‑intensive systems development or architecture.
• Experience architecting complex software platforms, developer ecosystems, or AI/ML platforms.
• Experience applying Generative AI, AI assistants, or agents to workflows.

Responsibilities

• Own the architecture of the Hivemind Forge AI development ecosystem.
• Define architecture products in MBSE to connect intent to execution.
• Establish patterns, interfaces, APIs, SDKs, and standards across software, AI/ML, data, and deployment.
• Define data/metadata architecture including lineage, provenance, versioning, lifecycle management.
• Ensure traceability across datasets, configurations, artifacts, and deployments.
• Architect GenAI-enabled workflows that accelerate data curation and deployment with human oversight and security.
• Define patterns for integrating AI coding assistants, agents, foundation models, and NLP interfaces.
• Design scalable AI/ML workloads across cloud, HPC, and on‑prem environments.
• Ensure operation in classified/disconnected environments with security and reproducibility.
