Job summary

Plata Card in Mexico is seeking a System Analyst to join the Risk Technology team. You will participate in the full product lifecycle, gather requirements, design technical solutions, and create clear specifications with the development team.

You'll lead multiple initiatives, collaborate with Product, Risk, Engineering, QA, and stakeholders, and ensure backlogs are well-defined with acceptance criteria and timely delivery. Fluency in English is required for international collaboration.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience as a System Analyst.
• Experience leading requirements for product or technical initiatives from discovery to production.
• Experience designing APIs, data models, and integration solutions.
• Understanding of microservice architecture and synchronous/asynchronous integrations.
• Knowledge of REST and gRPC.
• Experience with Kafka.
• UML/BPMN and ability to create technical docs for developers.
• Experience with PlantUML, Jira, and Confluence.
• Basic SQL skills.
• Ability to analyze business needs and manage multiple priorities with stakeholders.
• Strong ownership and proactive communication.
• English at B1+ for international collaboration.
• Availability to overlap with Mexico working hours for at least 2 hours daily.

Responsibilities

• Lead several initiatives in parallel from requirements gathering to implementation and post-launch support.
• Collaborate with Product, Risk, Engineering, QA and stakeholders to clarify requirements and priorities.
• Refine the backlog and prepare acceptance criteria for development.
• Define integration specifications between internal and external providers (sync and async).
• Design technical solutions with the team: APIs, data models, processes, and service requirements.
• Create and maintain technical docs, specs, integration contracts, and diagrams.
• Monitor delivery timelines and cross-team dependencies; identify risks and blockers.
• Support developers and QA during implementation and testing and resolve production issues.
• Manage end-to-end product-development requirements to ensure release readiness.

Job description

We are looking for a System Analyst to join our Risk Technology team in Mexico. The team develops automated decision-making solutions for credit cards and cash loans, working with scoring models, internal services, and external data providers.

This role involves active participation in the full product development lifecycle, from initial requirements to launch and production support. We are looking for an analyst who can independently lead initiatives, work with stakeholders, prepare the backlog for development, and design technical solutions together with the team.

Challenges that await you:

• Lead several initiatives in parallel, from requirements gathering and solution design to implementation, launch, and post-production support
• Work closely with Product, Risk, Engineering, QA, and other stakeholders to clarify requirements, priorities, dependencies, and expected outcomes
• Manage and refine the backlog: decompose initiatives into development-ready tasks, prepare acceptance criteria, and support prioritization
• Elaborate specifications for integration interactions between internal services and external providers, including synchronous and asynchronous scenarios
• Design technical solutions together with the development team: APIs, data models, business processes, and service requirements
• Create and maintain technical documentation, specifications, integration contracts, and diagrams
• Control delivery timelines and cross-team dependencies; proactively identify risks, resolve blockers, and escalation when needed
• Support Developers and QA during implementation and testing, clarify requirements, and help find solutions for complex production issues
• Manage product-development requirements end to end, ensuring the solution meets business needs and is ready for release

• Experience with designing APIs, data models, business processes, and integration solutions

• Strong ownership, structured thinking, attention to detail, and proactive communication
• B1 or higher English level for effective communication with an international team
• Availability to overlap with Mexico working hours for at least 2 hours per day
