Unknown Company in the United States is seeking a Junior / Junior+ Data Analyst to join our Core Banking Systems team. You will help ensure that every transaction is accurately reflected in the accounting system and gain exposure to fintech, banking products, and production data from day one.

You’ll start by investigating reconciliation cases and gradually take on more complex problems, building dashboards and contributing to standardized processes across two markets.

Qualifications

• Strong SQL skills and mathematical/statistical grounding.

Responsibilities

• Investigate non-standard product and financial cases with System Analysts and other teams.
• Work with production data to understand how banking transactions move through our systems.
• Translate complex financial and technical problems into clear, structured solutions.

Job description

We are looking for a Junior / Junior+ Data Analyst to join our Core Banking Systems team.

Our team makes sure that every transaction processed by our banking products is correctly reflected in the accounting system. We work across two markets — Mexico and Colombia — and sit at the intersection of product, technology, data, and finance. This is a great opportunity for someone at the beginning of their career who wants to work with real banking products, production data, and real money from day one.

You’ll start by investigating specific reconciliation cases and gradually move towards owning more complex and systematic problems — with plenty of room to grow along the way.You’ll get exposure to a part of fintech that is usually hidden behind the scenes — the systems that make sure the numbers actually add up.

Challenges that await you:

• Reconcile data between the product engine and accounting systems, identify discrepancies, and investigate their root causes

• Build and maintain dashboards and reports using DWH data

• Improve and standardise reconciliation processes, making them more reliable and scalable

• Investigate non-standard product and financial cases together with System Analysts and other teams
• Work with production data and gain a deep understanding of how banking transactions move through our systems
• Turn complex financial and technical problems into clear, structured solutions

What makes you a great fit:

• A mathematical or technical degree from a top university such as MSU, MIPT, HSE, MSTU, MEPhI, or NSE
• Strong knowledge of mathematical statistics, probability theory, and systematic thinking

• Strong SQL skills

• Attention to detail and a willingness to dive deep into complex cases
• Ability to work systematically and investigate problems until you understand their root cause
• English sufficient for reading technical documentation
• Genuine interest in fintech, banking, and financial products
• Comfortable working with large datasets and asking the right questions

Would be a plus:

• Experience with Airflow & Streamlit
• Experience with columnar databases
• Experience building or working with AI agents for coding and automation
