Job summary

M9 Solutions LLC is seeking a System Administrator 3 to support a government contract on-site in Charleston, SC. An active Top Secret clearance and U.S. citizenship are required.

The role covers Windows OS, Active Directory, security, and VDI infrastructure in a high-security environment. Candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of progressive experience or equivalent, plus strong experience with AD, patching, STIGs, and PCI/IA standards.

Qualifications

• Top Secret security clearance required.
• U.S. citizenship required.
• Bachelor's degree with 5+ years progressive experience, or an Associate's with 8+ years, or HS diploma with 10+ years.
• 5+ years of experience programming/administrating Physical Access Control Systems.
• Demonstrated ability to manage small teams.
• Experience with Windows patching and vulnerability remediation.
• Advanced knowledge of Windows Active Directory hierarchy and implementation.
• Basic networking knowledge including VLANs and routing.
• Willing to travel up to 10% annually.
• Security+ Certification, CASP, or CISSP.

Responsibilities

• Monitors, maintains, and tests physical security systems and supports IT systems for endpoint devices.
• Provides Tier 2 problem diagnosis and status communication to client management and internal customers.
• Manages physical security system support to meet service level agreements.
• Configures Windows operating systems and installs software.
• Performs desktop hardware setup, imaging, and antivirus updates.
• Analyzes security infrastructure performance and recommends improvements.
• Troubleshoots and maintains system integrity, implementing OS enhancements for reliability.
• Performs IAVA updates and patches to meet IA standards.
• Applies STIGs to Windows servers and workstations.
• Maintains Active Directory architectures and daily AD operations.
• Configures virtual hypervisors (VMware, Hypervisor) and VDI platforms (Citrix XenDesktop).
• Installs and maintains third-party applications and SQL databases.
• Performs root cause analysis and preventive maintenance.
• Creates technical SOPs and documentation.
• Trains system users and staff as needed.
• Works with minimal supervision.
