Responsibilities

Leads platform and infrastructure sustainment for Red LAN servers, virtualization, storage, patches, backups, and configurations.
Oversees maintenance, approved technical changes; resolves escalated infrastructure issues; ensures platform readiness supports availability and cybersecurity compliance.
Coordinates with network engineers to maintain smooth operation of multi-user computer systems.
Monitors resources (CPU, disk usage, response times) to maintain operating efficiency.
Performs systems security administration functions, including creating user profiles and accounts.
Sets up administrator accounts, maintains system documentation, tunes system performance, and evaluates vendor products.
Makes recommendations to purchase hardware and software, coordinates installation and provides backup recovery.
Develops and monitors policies for allocation of computing resources.
May be assigned responsibility for less experienced staff.
