Job summary

The role involves setting up, programming, and operating Swiss-style machines, with responsibility to read blueprints and maintain tight tolerances. Qualifications

• Minimum 3-5 years of Swiss machining experience preferred.
• Previous experience setting up and operating Swiss-style equipment required.
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and blueprints.
• Experience working with tight tolerances.
• Proficient with precision measuring equipment including micrometers, calipers, and gauges.

Responsibilities

• Set up, program, and operate Swiss-style machines.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, job travelers, and specifications.
• Manufacture parts to required dimensions and tolerances.
• Inspect completed parts using precision measuring equipment.
• Make necessary machine and tooling adjustments to maintain quality.
• Monitor tool wear and replace inserts, tooling, and other components as needed.
• Load material, tooling, and fixtures as required.
• Troubleshoot machining and production issues.
• Perform routine machine maintenance and maintain a clean work area.
• Complete required production and quality documentation.
• Follow all company safety and quality procedures.
• Assist with additional machining or production needs as required.
