Job summary

Akina, Inc. is seeking a Senior Software Engineer 3 to lead development of AI infrastructure and tools. You will work on Python-based systems, integrate with AWS cloud and Kubernetes, and guide junior developers while coordinating with customers and stakeholders.

The role requires extensive SWE experience, TS/SCI level clearance, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced mission-driven environment with strong emphasis on reliability, security, and scalable architectures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field is required.
• 12+ years of SWE experience in similar programs is expected.

Responsibilities

• Develop high-quality AI tools and applications for the workforce.
• Ensure availability, reliability, performance and security of AI tools.
• Modify open-source software for customer use cases.
• Engage with customers to elicit requirements and design solutions.
• Lead AI Tools and Applications initiatives across teams.
• Coach and support junior developers and act as POC for contract tasks.
