Quantum Technology Group is seeking a Sustainment Engineer to provide Tier 2/3 operations, maintenance, and sustainment support for the VA Enterprise Load Balancing Solution in support of the VTP. Four engineers are planned for the sustainment team, with initial work building operational readiness and subsequent support for the deployed platform.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT, computer science, engineering, or related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
• 4+ years of Tier 2/3 support of enterprise load balancing or application delivery controllers, including incident response, configuration, patching, and availability management
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/S, TLS, high availability, diagnostic analysis, scripting or automation, monitoring, and change documentation.
• Obtain and maintain VA background investigation, suitability determination, and access credentials; U.S. citizenship required.

Responsabilités

• Develop the operational model, configuration baselines, runbooks, troubleshooting procedures, and monitoring needed for production readiness.
• Triage and resolve platform incidents, document root causes and corrective actions, and participate in on-call escalation for production-impacting events.
• Adhere to incident targets with defined response and restoration times across Severity levels.
• Maintain platform configurations, changes, backups, and patching aligned with OEM LTSS lifecycle; observe VA change freezes.
• Monitor capacity, availability, and performance; contribute to quarterly baselines and Monthly Operations Report.
• Coordinate complex troubleshooting with OEM senior engineering reach-back and government SMEs through shadow activities.
