Job summary

Tylent is seeking a Lead Sustaining Engineer to own and improve legacy fluid power and motion control products. You will lead design analysis, redesigns, and cost or quality improvements across the full lifecycle, coordinating with IPTs and SMEs.

This role requires strong cross-functional collaboration and accountability for design decisions and documentation. The ideal candidate has significant MFG design experience, with 3+ years in pneumatic or hydraulic actuators and hydraulics, preferably

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering required.
• 3 years of experience in manufacturing design engineering.
• 3+ years with pneumatic or hydraulic actuators components.
• 3+ years with hydraulic/fluid level components (pumps, actuators, valves, manifolds, accumulators, power units, reservoirs, filtration, connectors).

Responsibilities

• Provide technical ownership for sustaining design and improvements across the product lifecycle.
• Lead design analysis, redesigns, and cost or quality improvements.
• Collaborate with IPTs, chief engineers, and SMEs; maintain engineering documentation and adhere to standards.
• Drive continuous improvement in performance, cost reduction, and first-pass yield.
