Job summary
Fluid System Components Inc. is seeking a Lead Industrial Hydraulics Engineer to plan, lead, and deliver large-scale hydraulic projects.
You will collaborate across departments, align outcomes with strategic goals, and ensure design quality, performance, and innovation throughout all development phases. The role requires deep expertise in industrial hydraulic systems, strong leadership, and the ability to manage multiple projects with internal and external stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Fluid Power, or related field.
- 7-10 years of experience (or 13-16 years in lieu of degree).
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and hydraulic simulation tools.
Responsibilities
- Lead technical evaluations during pre-sales and project scoping stages.
- Define hydraulic system architecture based on performance and application requirements.
- Drive technical proposal creation, ensuring feasibility and cost alignment.
- Interface with customers and sales teams to clarify specifications and deliverables.
- Identify risks or gaps early and provide mitigation strategies.
- Review engineering standards and guide design decisions across projects.
- Ensure designs comply with safety codes and QA processes.
- Lead field service support and post-installation reviews for improvement.
