Fluid System Components, Inc. seeks a Lead Industrial Hydraulics Engineer to plan, lead, and deliver large-scale hydraulic projects. You will collaborate across departments, align engineering output with strategic goals, and ensure design quality, performance, and innovation throughout all phases of system development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (Fluid Power or related field preferred).
• 5+ years of experience in hydraulic systems or related field.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and SolidWorks; experience with hydraulic simulation tools (Automation Studio, Simscape).
• Familiarity with UL, CE, ISO and other safety standards.
• Track record delivering high-performance hydraulic systems.
• Ability to manage a facility safely and cost-effectively.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical evaluations during pre-sales and project scoping stages.
• Define hydraulic system architecture based on performance and application requirements.
• Drive proposal creation ensuring feasibility and cost alignment.
• Interface with customers and sales teams to clarify specifications and deliverables.
• Identify potential risks or gaps early in the application phase and provide mitigation strategies.
• Oversee development of commissioning plans, field test procedures, and validation documentation.
• Lead resolution of escalated field issues and coordinate multidisciplinary resources.
• Track KPIs, technical risks, and resource utilization; report to leadership.
