Job summary

Forvis Mazars, LLP is seeking a Senior Manager in the Sustainability Consulting & Assurance group to lead engagements, guide teams, and deliver high-quality ESG assurance and advisory services for a growing client base in the United States.

You will collaborate with clients and partners, apply GHG, TCFD, GRI, SASB, CDP standards, and help enhance data, controls, and reporting processes while developing people and expanding services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, finance, environmental studies, sustainability, or a related field.
• Active CPA license.
• 7+ years of progressive experience in external audit, sustainability assurance, internal audit, ESG reporting, consulting, or related professional services.
• Demonstrated experience leading projects, engagements, teams, or client workstreams.
• Familiarity with greenhouse gas reporting, ESG metrics, sustainability disclosures, and related reporting criteria.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with ability to explain complex sustainability and assurance concepts to clients and stakeholders.
• Ability to travel up to 20%.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage sustainability assurance engagements, including planning, execution, review, reporting, and client communication.
• Oversee procedures related to ESG metrics, greenhouse gas emissions, sustainability disclosures, reporting processes, and related controls.
• Coordinate with clients and teams to evaluate ESG data collection, governance, and reporting readiness.
• Apply sustainability reporting frameworks (GHG Protocol, TCFD, GRI, SASB, CDP) and other standards.
• Support clients in identifying opportunities to improve ESG reporting processes and controls.
• Prepare and review client deliverables, reports, and engagement documentation.
• Build and maintain trusted client relationships while expanding assurance and consulting services.
• Coach and develop team members, fostering a high-performing environment.
• Contribute to business development, thought leadership, and practice-building initiatives.
