Job summary

Environ Energy seeks a Sustainability Manager, Assurance to lead client-facing teams delivering GHG/ESG assurance services. You will translate strategy into executable workplans, guide assurance engagements from scoping through issuance, and ensure quality, schedule, and budget adherence while driving continuous improvement.

The role oversees program operations, risk management, and client experience, with collaboration across sustainability, engineering, and compliance to deliver credible,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in sustainability, environmental science, engineering, accounting, business, data analytics, public policy, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 4–7 years of progressive experience in sustainability, ESG, GHG accounting, audit, or assurance services, including leading projects.
• Lead or Practicing credential such as LCSAP/PCSAP or equivalent is preferred.
• Experience conducting and reviewing audit, verification, or assurance activities with defensible workpapers.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the GHG/ESG assurance engagements from discovery to closeout.
• Scope work, estimate effort, develop workplans and budgets, and identify required expertise.
• Evaluate GHG emissions sources, calculation methods, and reporting boundaries across Scope 1, 2, and 3.
• Assess ESG metrics, data lineage, internal controls, and alignment with criteria.
• Provide clear communication of findings, recommendations, and limitations.
• Maintain independence and ensure quality through reviews and templates.
