Job summary

Ford Motor Company seeks a Technical Expert (LL6) to lead global suspension system reliability and verification methods. You will drive testing, DFMEA alignment, and data-driven root-cause analysis across vehicle platforms.

This role requires a BS Engineering and 10 years in chassis development, with leadership to coach D&R engineers worldwide. You will collaborate with CAE, design, and production teams to ensure best-in-class durability and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• BS-Engineering required.
• 10 years of experience in chassis systems and architecture development.
• Extensive experience with system and component durability validation methods.
• Extensive experience creating and managing DFMEA/PFMEA/SCCAF/Control Plans/ drawings-GD&T.
• Six Sigma Green Belt Certification preferred.
• Required leadership skills - quality focused as #1 priority, innovative, excellent communicator.

Responsibilities

• Lead suspension reliability demonstration and testing across platforms.
• Ensure best in world quality from initial vehicle quality through high time in service.
• Align reliability targets for the 90th percentile use case with end item classification.
• Coordinate targets for suspension end-item durability from vehicle to subassembly.
• Develop and execute vehicle, system, and lab tests to cover noise factors and failure modes.
• Capture data and perform root-cause analysis to support test method development.
• Engage with connected vehicle data, platform engineering and Ford divisions to ensure alignment.
• Coach and mentor D&R engineers across regions.
• Signoff responsibilities before Chief Signoff.
• Lead system problem solving for launches, recalls, and field issues.
