Job summary

Ford Motor Company is seeking a Technical Expert LL6 to lead global suspension system reliability and verification. You will drive stress factors into specs, validate test methods, and oversee DFMEA/PFMEA, control plans, and GD&T across vehicle programs.

The role requires BS-Engineering, 10 years in chassis development, strong problem solving and Six Sigma experience, and the ability to mentor engineers across regions. Travel to global centers is expected.

Qualifications

BS-Engineering required
10 years of experience in chassis systems and architecture development
Experience with DFMEA/PFMEA/SCCAF/Control Plans/Drawing-GD&T
Experience with problem solving tools – 8D, 5 Why, Six Sigma, etc.
Experience analyzing output from CAE and physical test methods – vehicle, system, and component.
Working knowledge of Six Sigma tools
Required leadership skills - quality focused, innovative, excellent communicator, strong organizational skills, highly motivated

Responsibilities

Lead suspension reliability demonstrations and testing.
Ensure world-class quality from initial vehicle quality through high time in service.
Align reliability objectives across system levels and end items.
Develop and execute vehicle, system, and lab tests to cover noise factors and failure modes.
Connect physical test methods to design inputs and CAE verification methods.
Coach, mentor, and train engineers across global regions.
Be the go-to for system problem solving (launch, recalls, field issues).
