Job summary

SOCOTEC is seeking an experienced Professional Land Surveyor to provide QA oversight and advisory leadership from our Mechanicsburg, PA office. The role includes signing/sealing survey deliverables, mentoring junior staff, and supporting business development across transportation and land development projects.

Candidate will bring 8+ years of surveying experience, PA PLS license, and proficiency with Carlson, Trimble BN, Civil 3D, AutoCAD/Civil 3D, and MicroStation.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering or related field.
8+ years of progressive surveying experience with leadership responsibilities.
PA Professional Land Surveyor license (required), other states a plus.
Proficient with Carlson, Trimble BN, Civil 3D and AutoCAD/Civil 3D.

Responsibilities

Mentor and develop junior survey staff and field crews.
Provide QA/QC oversight and signing/sealing of survey deliverables.
Oversee boundary, topographic, ALTA/NSPS, and ROW surveys.
Coordinate with engineering/environmental teams on projects.
Support PennDOT and municipal projects; assist with proposals and scope.
Develop client relationships and identify growth opportunities.
