Job summary

Stratus Team seeks a Lead Surveyor - Department Head to oversee surveying projects across multiple offices, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards. You will lead a team of surveyors and technicians, coordinating fieldwork and producing precise land surveys.

The role involves preparing detailed reports, engaging with clients, and providing expert recommendations. The position may work from Atlanta, Raleigh, Richmond or Charlotte offices to support diverse projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in surveying, Geomatics, or a related field.
• Valid Georgia PLS license required.
• Minimum 5 years of land surveying experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
• Experience with GIS and surveying software is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage surveying projects from inception to completion, ensuring timelines and budgets are met.
• Conduct field surveys using advanced surveying equipment and technology to gather accurate data.
• Analyze survey data and prepare comprehensive reports, maps, and legal descriptions for clients.
• Supervise and mentor junior surveyors and technicians, providing guidance and development support.
• Collaborate with clients, engineers, and other stakeholders to discuss project requirements and deliverables.
